The City’s Whole Equipment Industry Rose against the Tendency in the First Half of the Year

2020-09-07

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, the old equipment manufacturing companies in our city have been keeping a close eye on domestic and foreign orders while paying strict attention to the epidemic prevention and control, looking for opportunities in the crisis, empowering upstream and downstream, and becoming the most powerful "fixing star" for economic recovery and development. From January to June this year, the city’s whole equipment industry achieved a revenue of 20.263 billion Yuan from its main business, realizing a year-on-year increase of 33.3%.
In CRRC Qiqihar Railway Rolling Stock Co., Ltd., welding sparks flying in the workshop, hot steel ingots were being flattened and rounded to form parts meeting the parameter requirements, steel bars were forming the required specifications in an orderly manner under the cooperation of the workers and pneumatic hammers, a busy scene seen along the entire assembly line. According to Cui Hufan, a planner of the Production and Manufacturing Department of CRRC Qiqihar Railway Rolling Stock Co., Ltd., "In July, monthly production of 4,488 forged axles was realized, breaking the record of 4,177 per month created last year, setting a new record again. 3654 tons of cast steel parts were handed over, setting a new historical record."
Facing the adverse effects of the epidemic, CRRC Qiqihar Railway Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. has continuously optimized its production plans while focusing on epidemic prevention, continuously improving operation efficiency. Since the resumption of work and production, user orders have been steadily delivered. In June, it achieved a monthly output of 1,760 railway wagons, creating a record high. At the same time, 134 coal hopper trucks exported to Australia, ore trucks exported to BHP Billiton Ltd, and concentrated sulfuric acid tank trucks exported to South Korea were all shipped smoothly on time.
Data shows that in the first half of the year, CFHI achieved a year-on-year increase of 55.43% in operating income and a year-on-year increase of 92.3% in total profits. At the early stage of the epidemic, CFHI accelerated the localization of outsourced and supporting facilities and increased the local supporting rate to 52% in less than two months. CFHI has also established a linkage feedback mechanism with supporting enterprises, prepaid 456 million Yuan for goods, and greatly enhanced the industrial chain coordination capabilities. Ge Shuyi, General Manager of CFHI Nuclear Power Production Department, said that in order to ensure no decline in production during the epidemic, they paid close attention to domestic and foreign orders, monitored and supervised key projects, and signed a series of important manufacturing contracts and new product projects.
In the workshop of the Hydraulic Press Forging Plant of CFHI Cast and Forged Steel Division, a 10,000-ton hydraulic press was busy producing large forgings. Monitor Feng Yongliang was analyzing how to forge next with relevant personnel beside the machine. Regarding the products produced recently, Feng Yongliang said: “Although the epidemic has an impact, it has little impact, especially since entering normalized control, many more orders have been received than before. Recently, customers are urging to ask for more products. The scheduled production has increased by 1,000 tons from last month. In order to ensure the credibility and brand of the company, it is necessary to work overtime to deliver the orders."
During the epidemic, CFHI made key research projects a key task of accumulating kinetic energy. In the first quarter alone, the company filed 21 patent applications, including 18 invention patents, and 2 model labor innovation achievements were granted national patents. The company also expanded into new business sectors such as wind power and the amount of orders for new fan shaft products reached 318 million Yuan.
Bian Xiaofeng, Deputy Director of Qiqihar Industry and Information Technology Bureau, said that faced with the practical difficulties brought about by the epidemic, many companies in our city accelerated the advancement of the localization of supporting facilities by actively striving for it and the government helping communicate and coordinate, thereby stabilizing the upstream and downstream industrial chains.
In the production workshop of Qiqihar Tianzhong Machinery Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd., workers were busy processing supporting forgings for CFHI. As a downstream supporting enterprise, during the epidemic, due to the timely assistance of CFHI, the output value of the company in the first half of the year increased by 20% over the same period last year. He Xiumin, Director of the Office said: “During the epidemic, CFHI's funds arrived in a timely manner and it placed more orders than usual. In the case of high requirements for some technical parameters, CFHI dispatched dedicated technicians to provide on-site technical guidance, thereby stabilizing the company's operation and production.” Guan Honggang, Assistant to the General Manager of Heilongjiang Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., CFHI, said that an industry chain was related to the life and death of enterprises and that this epidemic had contributed to the family-like relationships between CFHI and its supporting enterprises.
The strategy of constantly seeking innovation and development in the changing situation is an "unchanged strategy" of today's enterprise development. Whether it is a large and medium-sized enterprise or a small and micro enterprise, under the new opportunities and challenges, only by laying a solid foundation, strengthening technology, and making up for the shortcomings, can high-quality development be truly achieved.
