Mingyue Island Ski Resort, a national 4A-level scenic area, is the largest urban ski resort in Heilongjiang Province and began to receive tourists on December 12th. As Qiqihar's first skiing field with the national S-level qualifications and an ice and snow activity base for 1million youths in the whole city, Mingyue Island Ski Resort has a history of more than 10 years, boasting international standard primary, intermediate and advanced skiing runs as well as skiing runs intended for children, with a total length of 2,000 meters and a snow field area of 60,000 square meters, able to hold 1,000 people skiing at the same time. Besides skiing, tourists can also enjoy such entertainment events as snow rings, snow tanks, snow karts, and snow sledges.
